Story so far
Odette describes them on air at the warlord council: everyone is teetering on the edge of the horizon waiting to see what The AI will next throw at both the crawlers and "the unwitting world leaders who've found themselves fighting for their very lives."
They are the warlords at the table—Prince Stalwart, Epitome Tagg, Princess Vinata, Warlord Fang, Architect Houston and the rest—powerful figures from outside who did not expect the game to become genuinely lethal for them. Juice Box addresses them directly in her closing statement: all of them, she says, are already marked and damned.
