Holy Wars... The Punishment Due

The Megadeth Song

Megadeth track Louis picked to force berserk status on mantaurs, blasted from Carl's alarm traps.

Story so far

When Carl's two Alarm Trap Balls activate, the dungeon announces the track: it didn't chart in the Billboard Hot 100, but it topped off at number 10 in October of 1990 in the Finnish charts, and that's good enough for the system. The song is "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due," by Megadeth.

Carl isn't familiar with it, but Louis insisted it would be the perfect tune to force berserk status onto the Mantaur Guards. Once the first few bars of the heavy metal riff echo through the corridor, Carl knows Louis was correct — the mantaurs glow, the system warns of a Mantaur Mosh Pit, and Carl himself is deafened for the rest of the fight.

Role

The berserk trigger at the heart of Operation Head Banger.
