Cracker Jack Scroll
Cracker Jack scrolls
Precious scrolls needed to break the user lock on looted weapons, hoarded because supply is so limited.
Story so far
Most of the guns the Posse looted are user locked, meaning Carl cannot use them without burning one of his precious Cracker Jack scrolls. That makes the majority of the captured small arms effectively dead weight in the defense of the castle.
The bigger guns carry no such restriction, so those are the ones mounted in the fortified Bunkers along the hillside.
Role
Scarce consumable that unlocks user-locked loot, too limited to spend on ordinary guns.
Relationships
Carl — Hoards them rather than unlocking the looted small arms.
Bunkers — The unrestricted big guns are used instead, sparing the scrolls.
