Story so far
Complaining that the tunnel traps were built up and never used, Donut compared it to other teased things that never happen — like Carl's Christmas present that he still hasn't opened, or her berserker spell. People don't like teased stuff that never happens, she said, and hoped it wouldn't hurt their numbers too much.
Carl said he was waiting to open it for a time when he really, really needed it. Donut told him flatly that it's a pair of romance novels, that it's all been built up, and that he'll be nothing but disappointed when he opens it. Carl laughed.
