This Is How the Gristle Grinds

Quest Complete: This Is How the Gristle Grinds

The quest York completes by destroying the orc children's yacht, logged with the flatness of routine paperwork.

Story so far

This Is How the Gristle Grinds is the quest recorded as complete in York's status entry at the end of the epilogue, immediately after the account of his crawl, his deal, and his years of self-reflection.

Its placement is the point. The quest closes on the same page that describes the vaporizing of The Orc Yacht and York's promotion to captain in the new resistance, so the system files an atrocity - a shipful of children, including the new king of The Orcs - as a completed objective with a wry name. Completing it also moves him onward: Entering Outreach Guild.

Role

The quest that formalizes York's killing of the orc yacht and advances him into the resistance.

Relationships

York — Completes the quest with the destruction of the yacht
The Orc Yacht — The target whose destruction satisfies it
