The Lava River
The molten destruction Emberus promises if Psamathe is not delivered inside sixty-six minutes.
Story so far
Emberus's quest update spells out the mechanism of the threat: if the demigod is not in his presence within sixty-six minutes, this world will be destroyed in fire and lava wrath, and once he has finished his interrogation he will cleanse the world in fire regardless.
The system's own framing is that he will turn the entirety of the ninth floor into a cremation chamber, that everything and everybody on the floor is going to die, and that this cannot be stopped short of killing a god. Even at a distance the heat inside the Field Hospital becomes sweltering.
Appearance
Promised molten destruction rolling across the floor; felt first only as sweltering, rising heat.
Role
The form of annihilation Emberus threatens against the ninth floor.
