Naga Shipyards

the shipyards · naga shipyard contracts

The naga's economic backbone, whose contracts Vinata's regime secretly intended to break before stealing a fleet.

Story so far

Rishi explains that Princess Vinata's father insisted she participate in the Faction Wars because the naga needed the tourist money and needed the shipyards staffed and running. The public purpose of the shipyards was to fulfill contracts; the private plan was to steal an entire fleet outright and take a whole generation of naga off in a direction none of the tunnel threads point.

Just before the meeting of the warlords, news broke laying out the naga's intention to renege on their shipyard contracts, causing immediate chaos in their home system — chaos Rishi could not monitor because of Carl's Emergency Action Item. That scandal is the proximate cause of both Rishi's decision to hide and the Naga Uprising his brothers are executing at home.

Role

The economic engine whose broken contracts destabilize the naga homeworld.
