Carl's magical book of crawler entries, updated with tens of thousands of donated skills and split into two volumes.
As the ninth floor ended, Milk taught every departing crawler how to strip a skill or spell from themselves and paint it onto a page of the book. Thousands did so, and the system announced that the Book of Voodoo had been updated with a metric fuckton of entries — so many that it segmented into two volumes, the second titled Carl's Book of Boom. The book should literally run almost 30,000 pages now, but it remains about 500 pages thick and still zeroes in on whatever entry Carl is looking for when he flips through it.
A random page showed Crawler Number 1,982,122, Asi Hamami, a level 59 Fox Warrior, with a crude red-ink drawing of a lock and key and a note thanking Carl; consuming that page grants a level 10 Lockpick skill for five minutes. Each donor left three paintings — one for Carl, one for Donut, and one on their own entry page as a shared first-come-first-served resource — plus a personal note of thanks. The transfer is permanent for the donor, and eating a page grants the skill only briefly, with duration depending on the quality of the drawing. Former Crawlers could not donate skills, having already given what they had.
A heavy book roughly 500 pages thick despite containing nearly 30,000 entries, its pages covered in handwritten notes and crude drawings, many in red ink.
Carl's compendium of crawler entries, now a consumable arsenal of donated skills and spells.
