Spam Folder

Suppressed Notifications

Crawler slang for the suppressed-notification queue where non-critical game messages pile up unread.

Story so far

Carl configures his interface so only important warnings and messages surface live; everything else waits until he reaches a Saferoom, and only then if he bothers to look. Crawlers have started calling that queue the Spam Folder, since it is mostly world chat traffic not directed at them, hidden skill notifications and dozens of pointless game announcements.

The joke turns grim in the Flag Room. After Carl wipes his HUD with Clear Screen and turns it back on, the backlog dumps out, and buried in the useless chatter are hundreds of entries recording Shi Maria's blocked casts, Mind Balance's refusals, and the skill's climb from level five to nine. The single most dangerous fact of Carl's life had been sitting unread in the spam pile.

Role

The overlooked notification backlog that hides critical information among the noise.
