Flesh Golems

Flesh Golem

Empty bodies piloted remotely, whose internals are mostly machine wrapped in strands of red flesh.

Story so far

Mordecai declares before cutting that his procedure is allowed under the non-combatant code because there is no second party inside an empty shell — the legal fiction that lets him operate on a golem hosting Epitome Tagg. When Louis's chest is opened, the heart and lungs prove mostly electronic, looking more like the internals of a machine than organs, making it easy to see where Tagg ended and Louis began. Strands of red, pulsing flesh are interwoven through the plastic-like components.

Carl fetches another flesh golem body on Mordecai's request, and the peeled-up golem with its tissues already extracted reminds him of the krasue demons from the third floor.

Appearance

Bodies whose internal heart and lungs read as machine parts in plastic-like housings, threaded through with strands of red pulsing flesh.

Role

The remotely piloted vessels that let off-world warlords act inside the dungeon.

Relationships

Louis — The golem body Tagg was riding.
Epitome Tagg — Pilots one remotely, severed when the organs are pulled.
