Donut's Rooftop Speech

Comrades speech · For the Posse

Donut's rallying broadcast from atop the castle that converts a pinned, dying defense into an all-out charge.

Story so far

Frustrated that her order for Tina took too long to be obeyed — 'We really need to do something about these people not following our orders right away. We need more team-building exercises' — Donut summons her headset, leaps onto Mongo's back, and vaults atop The Castle just above the front door, loud enough for even the enemy at the bottom of the hill to hear.

She opens with 'Comrades!', names the hundred-plus attackers behind the barracks and the wormheads who killed their friends, orders Alpha squad card reserves to the roof and everyone else to save cards for the main force, and finishes: 'Let's show these cheese sticks what the Princess Posse does to trespassers. Tina! Sic 'em!' Cheers erupt and the whole base rises. Imani stares open-mouthed and asks about 'Comrades'; Carl explains she has been hanging out with Rosetta too much. 'This warlord thing suits her,' Imani says, and sounds a little sad. Carl feels it too. Then Donut roars 'For the Posse!' and, as one, they charge.
