Calligraphy Guild

The tradition of ink magic Milk represents, encompassing dozens of methods for calligraphy maps alone.

Story so far

Prompted by Carl's remark that he hadn't realized there were so many different magic systems, Milk smiles sadly and says there are more than he can imagine — even just in ink calligraphy maps there are dozens of different methods.

She warns that it is dangerous to try to learn too much, that a great deal depends on using the right kind of ink, and that over the turns she has learned the danger of using recipes she doesn't quite understand: inks and letters that shine brightest burn out fastest. Her own lost recipe book is the cautionary tale, and Stayfast Ink the corrective she hands to Carl.
