Rogue Club

the Rogue Club

A dungeon establishment that hires exiting crawlers as guards - offered to Porthus almost as an afterthought, and dismissed as the least appealing option.

Story so far

Named once, at the end of the attorney's pitch for the Game Guide deal: 'I recommend you take this one. Unless you want to be a guard at the Rogue Club?' The phrasing makes clear the guard post is the option nobody wants, thrown in as a rhetorical contrast rather than a serious recommendation.

It sits alongside the Desperado Club in the crawl's small set of named clubs that serve crawlers, and its name suggests it caters to rogues - Porthus's own class - though nothing else about it is given here.

Appearance

Undescribed; known only as a club that keeps guards on staff.

Role

A fourth exit option and a piece of the dungeon's off-floor geography - somewhere crawlers are employed rather than killed.

Relationships

Indentureship — A guard post here is one of the deals available.
Porthus — Offered the guard post; declines in favour of game guide.
Desperado Club — The other named club serving the crawl's population.
