Kill the Blasphemer
Emberus's quest, completed when Carl's Black Nimbus and Li Na's dread destroy the ram cleric Mork.
Story so far
Carl holds a standing quest from Emberus to kill a blasphemer. A note at the end of the quest had given him pause — enough that he does not simply execute Mork outright, instead pinning him under a boot while the ram begs Hellik to come back and says he does not want to be alone.
When Dark Purpose takes Mork and he tears himself apart trying to hand his heart back to his god, the system posts Quest Complete: Kill Blasphemer. Emberus responds with roughly ten seconds of uncontrolled, unhinged shrieking laughter, then awards a Celestial Boon: Heathen Scald at level 15.
Role
The god-quest whose completion in this chapter arms Carl's fists for the rest of the floor.
