The Bamboozle

Bamboozle · Saferoom sneak attack

Donut's name for using a captured saferoom entrance to sneak-attack the enemy — which the enemy runs on them first.

Story so far

Returning from the Prism castle through a small shack south of it that holds a saferoom entrance, Donut proposes reusing the door for a sneak attack and gives the operation a name: the Bamboozle. Carl is lukewarm, pointing out that the Landmine Trap he left at the door will likely destroy it and that the enemy will rig their own countermeasure.

The idea turns on them within the hour. Because the Bait Shop saferoom entrance now sits physically inside the crawlers' expanded castle, and because off-worlder Sponsors can own personal spaces and buy the Doggie Door Upgrade too, any enemy who ever entered through that bait shop can walk back in. Bomo finds the extra door in the situational space — a saferoom door for The Reavers — and Donut relays the horror over chat: they are doing the Bamboozle to us, they are in the castle.

Role

The saferoom-door infiltration trick, named by Donut and used against the crawlers by the Reavers.
