Marked for Death

Li Na's Marks

Li Na's marking mechanic: unresolved marks leave her with a condition that will never allow her to heal.

Story so far

Li Na originally marked eighteen outworlders. Prepotente and his people hunted for the missing ones and failed to find them, and now know why: three survived long enough to escape to the Eighteenth Floor via the Cosmic Lounge. Because they were Non-Combatant NPC outworlders and not enemies captured by War Crime, marking them was legal — and now those marks can never be resolved.

The result is permanent. Li Na carries a condition that will never allow her to heal, though her health remains several times that of the whole party combined and her stats are massively increased. Only one mark remains within her reach: the one inside Louis. Donut tells Carl she warned him the Ring of Divine Suffering was bad news.

Role

The marking mechanic whose unresolvable targets permanently cripple Li Na's healing.

Relationships

Li Na — The crawler who wields it and now suffers its cost.
Louis — Carries her only remaining reachable mark.
Ring of Divine Suffering — The item Donut blames for the whole situation.
