Story so far
The clocktower's payoff arrives in this chapter. So long as an unbroken line of Clock Tower Capacitor Wire runs from the clocktower's interior into Club Vanquisher, the tower-enhanced effects of Li Na's aura function inside the club — which is the entire premise of the breach.
Combined with Tiatha's Wire Hack, the tower boost turns Dark Purpose from a touch-range aura into a twenty-meter field that is nearly impossible to escape. Everything else in the plan — the held-open doors, Li Jun climbing the fireplace — exists to keep that line intact.
