The Eye of the Bedlam Bride

The Eye on Carl's Chest

The eye set in Carl's chest, aching along with the rest of him in the zero zone's crushing weight.

Story so far

Sitting in the freezing Zero Zone cubicle after Faction Wars, Carl catalogues his own wreckage: feet tingling with waking-up-from-sleep pain, his entire body aching, and the eye on his chest aching too. He is especially aware of it because in a zero zone everything is so heavy.

The detail is the only reminder in the scene of what he carries out of the war, as he sits covered in ash and blood, leaving black handprints on the table while Quasar reads out worthless exit deals.
