Achievement for adopting a previously bonded pet, delivered in the AI's most unhinged ramble yet.
Used Pet! is the achievement that most unsettles Carl during The Ceasefire. Its stated trigger is adopting a pet that was once bonded to someone else, and its reward is a Gold Pet Box. But the text spirals: a bitter rant about people who "rescue" animals for social media clout, a direct attack on one Janet Dominguez in Baton Rouge and her dog Sprinkles, an admission that The AI really needs to stop watching the memory recordings, then a non-sequitur about Terry the cairn terrier who played Toto being paid $125 a week and being trampled by one of the witch's guards, and finally a confused half-thought that used pets have value, sometimes non-monetary, "especially when said pets are fucking delicious. Or really squishable."
Carl's reaction is a flat "Uh" — the achievement is more unhinged than usual, and worse, he has not actually adopted Garret the tummy acher yet, so it should not have fired at all. He notes the AI rambles constantly but there is normally a coherent point buried in it; this one was all over the place, and he knows better than to comment out loud when the AI is behaving this way.
Achievement whose incoherence and premature timing signal something wrong with the AI.
