Donut Holes T-Shirt

Donut Holes shirt

Magical band shirt still on Louis's chest, unbroken by surgery but now stained with his blood.

Story so far

When Carl looks at Louis's chest, the surgical scar is gone but the Donut Holes shirt is still there — the shirt is magical, so it would not break even when the chest beneath it was opened. It is now stained with blood.

The detail is the chapter's quiet image of what has already been done to Louis, and of what is about to be done again when Juice Box takes Fleshmancer form to swap in new organs.

Appearance

A magical band T-shirt, intact and unbreakable, now blotted with dried blood over the chest.

Role

The visible marker of Louis's surgery and of the Donut Holes' hold on him.

Relationships

Louis — Still wears it over his healed chest.

Donut Holes — Merchandise of the band it names.
