Story so far
For the whole meeting the thing wearing Growler Gary drinks straight vodka with no visible effect, pacing, arguing with Orren, and holding a coherent conversation with Princess Donut. The alcohol is apparently held in abeyance while the primal is in control.
The moment it lets go, Gary collapses in a heap and the bill comes due: Carl sees the Shitfaced debuff suddenly appear over him as he sits up with slitted eyes, moaning, asking for Rory, and having no idea where he is. It is the clearest marker in the chapter that the drinking was his body's and the conversation was not.
