Story so far

Uh oh. It talks. is one of the notable achievements Carl opens during The Ceasefire. Its text notes he has discovered a sapient weapon, then observes that very few well-known crawlers use them despite how powerful they are — The AI can only think of two crawlers in the top 50 who do — before signing off with "They're great, though. Just... Good luck with that." The reward is a pair of Earplugs.

The trigger was looting Jefferson the Nickel Sock from Quan Ch. The weapon is currently in the possession of Dong Quixote the stripper. Mordecai has already warned that sapient weapons can be both annoying and dangerous, and although Carl has not actually heard the sock speak yet, the achievement gives him a sudden uneasy feeling and he makes a note to circle back and examine the weapon more closely.
