Story so far
The City Defense System towers of Larracos fire nonstop into the crowd below, targeting Carl's own people. Each tower is powered by a crystal, and the mob takes them out one at a time: a fire lance tower tumbles away to Big Tina's roar, and Elle's fairies spiral down to shoot out another tower's crystal.
The system dies wholesale when the War Mage Rebellion abandons the Throne Room of Team Retribution. A system message announces that the throne room has been abandoned and the City Defense system has gone inert, confirming that control of the throne room is what powers the towers.
