The Staged Threat

I sure hope you don't threaten me · the coercion loophole

Milk invites the crawlers to threaten her so that giving them information becomes lawful coercion.

Story so far

Having already drawn an Unauthorized Information Warning, Milk glances nervously at the ceiling, thinks "Fuck it," and tells the crawlers: "I sure hope you don't threaten me. If you threaten me, I might be forced to give you information." Miriam understands instantly. She gives a sad smile that reveals her sharp teeth, steps forward and rests a hand on Milk's shoulder — a wordless thank you — then steps back, pulls a knife from her inventory, and asks what sort of information.

Milk grins and answers: information on the many Club Vanquisher Secret Entrances, including the one at the back of this very room, plus Milk's Map, which she hopes they won't steal from her. The fiction gives her a defense against her Non-Combatant NPC restrictions while still handing Prepotente and Miriam their way out.

Role

The loophole that lets an indentured NPC help hunted crawlers without technically breaking her contract.
