The scout for Team Retribution is an NPC bartender, a porsuk. Rather than purchase many alcohol types for the bars, the Showrunners gave NPC bartenders scrolls that alter the chemical composition of water within a container.
He and a second NPC team spy used a Temporary Water Source Scroll to fill the enemy's empty middle trench, then turned that water into acid with the bartender scroll, treating the trench itself as the "container," and covered it with an illusion spell. When the enemy fell back into it, he went up almost twenty levels—a fact Baroness Victory reports to Carl while arguing the spell should be reclassified as offensive magic.
