Story so far
Rishi was the representative Princess Vinata sent to the pre-production meetings — the sessions held before the Faction Wars where the participating factions were briefed and organized. Carl's impression is that outside the dungeon Rishi held a fairly important role in the real naga government, consistent with being trusted to speak for the princess.
That prior exposure to how the production side works may explain how comfortably Rishi navigates Syndicate law, AI witnesses, and court petitions from inside a prison cell.
