An ominously named enchantment buff placed on the Posse's old-fashioned earplugs before the Dazzler barrage.

Story so far

Because Mordecai couldn't brew enough ear-protection potion for the whole army and Imani's Total Ear Protection spell could only cover a few targets, crawlers with ordinary ears had to fall back on old-fashioned Earplugs. Those earplugs were enchanted with a buff ominously called This Thingy Works Slightly Better Than It's Supposed To.

The name proved optimistic. When the fifty Dazzlers landed in the craters and began blasting Killing in the Name loudly enough to shake the ground harder than the artillery explosions, Carl slipped his earplugs in and found they barely helped.
