Story so far
Bautista vanished during the evacuation. Carl found he'd gone into a safe room and messaged him that Katia was about to wake; Bautista answered that he was doing something in the crafting room quickly and was coming.
He burst into the tent with several strange devices in his arms and announced he'd got them done. They were the cybernetic parts Katia had made herself in anticipation of losing the argument about her own body, and left behind in the crafting room; Bautista finished them for her, and everyone clicked and fastened them into place while Eileithyia worked.
