The Orc Yacht

The children's yacht

A small ship full of orc children, including the new king, vaporized by York and written off as crossfire.

Story so far

The orc yacht was a small vessel carrying children, among them the new king of The Orcs. Before the veterans onboarded into Faction Wars, Rosetta asked York point-blank whether he had the fortitude to complete this little side mission - to kill it. He said yes, and made sure to look faintly reluctant while doing so, because he had actually been looking forward to it and hoped that pressing the button would let him feel something.

When the shooting started in orbit, York deployed an NPB - a weapon actually designed for point defense - from the Homecoming Queen, and the yacht was simply vaporized. The behemoth then appeared to flee the conflict along with all the other transports, and to this day everyone assumes the orcs were merely caught in the crossfire. The news feeds noted the unfortunate deaths of children and moved on; too much else was happening for it to register more than a blip. York, who felt nothing at all, kept trying to rearrange it in his mind into something he could feel.

Appearance

A small pleasure yacht, vaporized in an instant by a point-defense beam.

Role

The atrocity at the heart of the epilogue, and the crime nobody attributes to the resistance.

Relationships
