Cretins

Hired mercenary creatures including Sledge, who vanish rather than transfer when Zerzura fires.

Story so far

When Carl worked through what would happen to each class of fighter, the hired mercenaries — including Sledge and the other surviving cretins — fell into the category that would simply disappear.

They would not move to The Twelfth Floor. Instead they were bound possibly for NPC Storage to await the next crawl, possibly tossed back into the Mercenary Markets, the same fate as the for-hire dungeon-born mercenaries fielded by all teams.

Role

Hired monster mercenaries whose contracts end with the floor rather than following the crawlers down.

Relationships

Sledge — One of the surviving cretins, and the one who casts Zerzura.
Mercenaries — Fall under the hired mercenary rules for disposal.
NPC Storage — A possible destination after they disappear.
