Gods Leaving the Realm
Deities streaming out of Club Vanquisher during the raid, by a means Carl still cannot explain.
Story so far
As Carl reassembles himself with five seconds of Immortality left, gods are leaving the realm. A few remain, per Katia Grim's report, but they are all fighting each other; Diwata and Vertumnus brawl and rut in a hallway; a god vine thing rushes past followed by a cheetah Carl had seen earlier.
Carl admits outright that he still doesn't know how all the gods are getting out in the first place. The lore of the Basilica Guards hints at the mechanism: if the ogres leave their post, the basilica's entrance stands wide open and the bored gods hanging out in the halls may notice and wander off untethered — and Carl has just routed two Basilica Guards off their posts himself.
Appearance
Deities streaming through corridors as vines, beasts and brawling shapes, some fighting each other, some simply vanishing from the realm.
