Story so far
Hive Re-Population Center 51 was a mantid colony installation in the Mantis System that went boom along with its star. It was not even close to the original mantis system — it was the least populated and newest of The Mantids' multiple colonies, a re-population effort rather than a heartland.
York re-watches the story of its destruction and mutters that it is what the mantids deserved, testing words he does not actually feel. The event dominates the feeds because stars do not simply go nova without warning, and the implication that something or someone caused it is what is starting the panic.
