The Trap Trigger Jewel

Story so far

Donut, viewing the world through the energy mode of Donut's Sunglasses, sees the power from the Deflector Towers flowing to a single spot on the ground far below the Nest. She fires a Magic Missile at it and nothing happens.

Carl recognizes the type: a magical trap unlike his own style, forming little round jewels that don't appear until activated, immune to ranged weapons and spells. Someone has to physically pick it up and put it in their inventory. He orders Dong Quixote to find the missile's impact point, warns him the jewel is about the size of a marble and will burn when he picks it up, and tells him to hurry — into an area about to be on fire and full of fleshers.

Appearance

A tiny round jewel roughly the size of a marble, invisible until activated, burning hot to the touch.

Role

The physical power node of Lucia Mar's net and the only way to break it.
