Borant Three
World whose surrounding liquid habitation ring was struck by a derelict warship, killing millions.

Princess Vinata reveals at the warlord council that the liquid habitation ring surrounding Borant Three was hit by a derelict warship during the Borant System's civil war. Millions died.
The disaster is not public knowledge, but Cascadia knows: her former husband and most of her family were among the dead. Vinata points to the fish's drunken collapse at the council table as proof—"See how she crumbles when she knows those she loves are gone?"—and immediately turns the same knife on Carl by asking how he will react when his own family dies.
