Story so far
Beneath the tent floor where Katia lay was a large circle filled with multiple words of power — what Carl called a last-minute addition to the plan. When Donut's Laundry Day knocked Huanxin Jinx off her feet, the grixist slid to a sputtering stop inside it.
Carl explained the rule to her plainly: you cannot teleport away while standing on those words. Tech shields still function inside it, but no magic will. Huanxin clicked the ring on her finger and nothing happened, and her numerous shields — purely technological — were the only defense left for Donut to shred with Claw.
