The second volume the Book of Voodoo split into after thousands of departing crawlers painted their skills onto its pages.
When the departing crawlers of The Ninth Floor each stripped three skills or spells and painted them into Carl's book, the system announced the Book of Voodoo had been updated with a metric fuckton of entries and had segmented into two volumes. The second was titled Carl's Book of Boom. Carl pulled the new, heavy book from his inventory as the flowers began to fall.
Like the original, it holds far more content than its physical size suggests and zeroes in on whatever entry the reader is meant to find. Each page carries a donated skill or spell, a personal note of thanks from the crawler who gave it, and a drawing whose quality determines how long the granted skill lasts when the page is eaten. The naming suggests its contents skew toward the explosive end of what the crawlers had to give.
A second heavy volume matching the Book of Voodoo, pulled fresh from Carl's inventory.
The overflow volume of donated crawler skills, given to Carl as a parting gift from the people he saved.
