Spider Tank S4
Simple walking war machines deployable ten at a time; unit S4 is destroyed by enemy artillery at the southern front.
Story so far
The crawler army fields simple spider tanks as designated Armor Units at the Southern Front. Only ten can be deployed at a time, but nearly fifty of the machines are held ready — kept disassembled in pieces until needed, with each taking about five minutes of work to assemble or replace.
Early in the artillery bombardment, the system announces that Armor Unit number three, "Spider Tank S4," has been destroyed by enemy fire: something broke the shield covering it and the enemy scored a direct hit. Carl sends out a replacement order, only to find Tran already handling it.
Appearance
Simple walking machines stored disassembled in pieces, assembled in roughly five minutes each.
Role
The crawler army's armor complement at the southern trenches, rationed to ten fielded units at a time.
