Children of Inpewt

Undead monsters formed from any mortals crushed when a transferred city lands on top of them.

Story so far

As Carl weighed the risks of dropping Larracos onto the cotton fields of The Twelfth Floor, he noted that if the city squashed any mortals when it landed and drilled into the ground, those crushed by its appearance would turn into undead monsters called Children of Inpewt.

It was a known problem the crawlers accepted and planned to deal with later. Given the sheer number of people being sent down there, Carl judged it wouldn't be a huge issue — not safe, but life, and the price of making certain both teams would survive.

Appearance

Undead monsters born from mortals crushed beneath a landing city.

Role

A foreseen hazard of the city transfer, and a problem deferred to the twelfth floor.
