Carl's Inventory
Carl's storage, currently holding King Rust's corpse, looted royal regalia, and the Gate of the Feral Gods.
Story so far
Carl privately corrects Donut's rug story: she never actually turned King Rust's body into a rug, because Carl still has him in his inventory. From the corpse he has taken a second Ring of Divine Suffering and a necklace, and Rust carried several other magical items besides — most of which, Carl notes, wouldn't work on him.
The inventory also still holds the Gate of the Feral Gods, which Carl thinks of as a weapon of mass chaos soon to be unleashed, along with boxes he has yet to open, including the one that gave Donut her spell. He concludes he needs to sit down with the others and talk about what to do with all of it.
Role
The storage where the chapter's unresolved loot and doomsday items sit waiting.
