Randy and Todd are orphaned Ursine bear cubs living at the FUPA under Miss Nadine's care. Nadine has told them to stay away from Tina because she killed their father, though Clint notes Tina has apologized and her mother says she is different now.
When Phase One Combat opens, the cubs come rushing out with Clint, all three wearing metal skull caps and dragging training spears from inside the guild, demanding to help fight the bad guys. Randy says they have been practicing; Todd declares they are going to bathe in apostate blood and swings his dulled spear hard enough to smack Jamal, then apologizes to him. Holger sends them all back inside to escort Jamal and check on the other golems, and Todd offers a parting "The gods frown upon your blasphemy." Holger admits afterward that the bear kid freaks him out.
