Donut's Guilt

Donut belatedly admits she feels bad about pooping in Mordecai's mother's ashes before the arrow was made.

Story so far

In the last minutes on The Ninth Floor, Donut said out of nowhere that she felt really bad about pooping in Mordecai's mother's ashes now. Her specific worry was whether any of it got into the tip of the arrow — because the whole thing was supposed to be a big, grand gesture, and instead Huanxin Jinx was really killed by a cat-poop arrow, which is all she will ever think of now.

Carl's only response was to tell her not to say that to Mordecai. Minutes later Mordecai thanked her for setting up what he gained today.

Role

A comic-then-poignant confession that undercuts and then deepens the day's grand gesture.
