Story so far
Katia gave Carl the chain dragon tattoo first, and it is by far the biggest mark the party has taken — Katia points out that Imani's barbed-wire ankle band is tiny by comparison when Donut complains about disfigurement. Tattoo size scales with the level of the transferred spell, so the chain dragon's scale reflects a high-level transfer.
After Carl received it, the party reversed the process to run the transfer the other way, loaning Tripper out to Imani instead. Carl feels a searing jolt in his chest whenever a loaned spell of his is cast, which he initially mistook for something to do with The Bedlam Bride.
