Three floating choices a crawler selects from; the goddess cannot act until the selection is made.
Katia had three choices floating in her vision. The first would make her constitution extremely powerful. The second would allow her to become a Celestial Attendant. The third — the one she took — was to be made pregnant.
Huanxin Jinx snapped that she couldn't take Katia anywhere until she picked, and that it didn't matter which. Baroness Victory explained the quirk that made the whole plan work: a sponsored goddess can't move until the choice is made, and probably can't even perceive what happens in the meantime, because normally she wouldn't appear at all until after the selection. The choice also expires after a couple of minutes, so Katia had to keep moving. Once she pressed the button, Eileithyia resumed mid-gesture, confirmed the preference, warned her how cruel this world is to a woman with the gift, and granted it.
The rules hook the crawlers exploit to freeze a goddess long enough to kill her sponsor.
