Emergency Action Item
action item
The system directive forcing Tagg's death on his castle's capture, which Carl confirms cannot be cancelled.
Story so far
Carl tells Epitome Tagg over Warlord Chat that they cannot do the swap: there is no action item to force him not to die once they take his castle, and Carl has just confirmed this with both of Tagg's adjutants.
It is the hinge of the entire chapter. Because no action item can override the outcome, the only thing left to save is Louis — which is why the room spends its remaining hour on surgery instead of diplomacy.
Role
The uncancellable system directive that makes Tagg's death certain.
Relationships
Epitome Tagg — Doomed by it when his castle falls.
Carl — Confirms with two adjutants that it cannot be stopped.
Adjutant — Both adjutants verify the ruling.
Leader Kill Rule — The rule the action item would have had to override.
