Game Guide

Game Guides

The post-crawl job former crawlers take, held by York alongside teaching poetry before he joined the resistance.

Story so far

Working as a Game Guide is one of the standard destinations for a crawler who takes the deal and lives. York's status entry records exactly that path: after taking the deal at the end of the tenth floor, he worked as a Game Guide and as a Guildhall Instructor in the Poetry guild, then exited the dungeon and spent the following years in self-reflection and contemplation.

Those years produced the tenth edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook and an endless stream of bad verse - and, eventually, a captaincy in the resistance. The guide's chair is where the crawl parks the survivors it has hollowed out, and York is the proof of what can grow there.

Role

The standard post-crawl employment that shaped York's decades before the resistance.
