Story so far
Recruiting Prepotente forces Carl to pick a rank on the spot. His first instinct is to be a dick and hand the goat Legionnaires — the base enlisted tier — but he settles on Colonel instead, a senior officer grade fitting a level 99 crawler.
The ranks are not cosmetic: they are the structure through which Carl's army coordinates, and the reason enlistment matters at all is that faction membership governs who can speak freely with whom before the assault.
