Legionnaire
The bottom rank in Carl's army, which he briefly considered assigning Prepotente purely as an insult.
Story so far
When Prepotente demands to be recruited into Carl's army so the two of them can speak freely, Carl's first instinct is to be a dick about it and give the goat the rank of Legionnaire — the ordinary enlisted tier, and a pointed slight for the strongest crawler in the dungeon.
He reconsiders and grants Colonel instead. The moment establishes Legionnaire as the baseline rank in the army's structure, the default assignment for a new recruit with no special standing.
Role
The rank-and-file tier of Carl's army, contrasted against senior officer ranks like Colonel.
Relationships
Carl — Assigns ranks, considering Legionnaire as a slight before choosing Colonel.
Prepotente — Nearly received this rank instead of Colonel.
