Hunter Wraith
Bitter possessing spirits whose minds carry the Inevitable Ruin curse, revealing unwanted truths about anything pure they touch.
Story so far
Juice Box took on the form of a hunter wraith in order to possess and save Louis, and came away carrying what the wraiths carry. She explains to Carl that The Inevitable Ruin is a curse inflicted upon the mind of the hunter wraith, and that this is why they are so bitter. When a wraith possesses someone, it ruins something pure — not by altering it, but by showing the possessor the truth, manifesting differently in every case.
For Juice Box the truth was that Louis is terrified of her, does not love her, and never will trust what she feels. She tells Carl that saving Louis was worth it, but she wishes she had not taken that form.
Appearance
A wraith shape a changeling can assume; its defining trait is the bitterness of the cursed mind rather than any described body.
