Story so far
Dispatch assigns Mission Jones and Cam a tandem haul. Its account ledger is kept on level seventy-four, and porter rumors are collected and written down at Dispatch Main. Frankie says Roker grows beans in Dispatch.
Central Dispatch has sorting rooms with tall shelves of deliveries, showers and a place for Mission to change. It is unusually quiet during one of his visits. Later it fails to answer Mission's radio call, and Robbie reports a fight there.
When the travelers reach Central Dispatch, its main hallway is empty and its walls contain hundreds of holes. Dead porters lie in the bunk room, and the hallway lights briefly go out before returning in a flicker.
