The Tragic Historye of Romeus and Juliette

The play survives in an annotated script whose pages also carry Juliette’s generator manual and a poem addressed to George.

Story so far

The play opens with a sword fight. The actress’s copy is a small script bound with brass pins, and the script given to Juliette includes handwritten notes beside the printed text.

Its pages were reused for the Main Generator Control Room Operation Manual, retaining marginal notes and repeated circles around Juliette’s name. Bernard Holland briefly examined the printed play on the manual’s reverse. Lukas interprets marginal diagrams as an actor’s stage directions, and the script contains Juliette’s handwritten poem addressed to George.
